The Texas Body Painting Festival kicks off its first annual event on June 24, 2017, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Artists will be competing for $1000 in cash prizes for the right to claim the title of "Best in Texas," as guests enjoy live body art presentations, music and more! Presented by IMPLIED Magazine, Phat Tats Tattoo Parlor and C101 Rocks with support from the Marina Arts District.

Star Struck Boutique
The TBPF will be hosted in downtown Corpus Christi at the House of Rock (511 Starr St.) and will feature live body art along with fashion and music.

10 p.m. - Body Art runway show and awards ceremony

Details for the competition include:
- Two categories will be FACE PAINTING and FULL BODY PAINTING. Artists may participate in both, if desired.
- No cost to participate.
- Registered artists will be listed/tagged on the official Facebook event page for exposure.
- Competition will consist of a "theme" to be revealed to all artists on June 17th. Artwork for the competition should relate to the theme.
- Artists may provide their own models; however, we also have a list of models who have already expressed interest in participating from which you can select.
- Props are allowed to enhance the artwork.
- $1000 total in cash prizes and more to be awarded - $700 for Full Body (1st - $500, 2nd - $150, 3rd - $50); $300 for Face (1st - $150, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50).
- Artwork will be judged on the following - Creativity, Technique, Theme Appropriateness.
- A photography session will be arranged prior to doors opening for all artists to have their artwork captured for publication in a special edition of IMPLIED Magazine devoted exclusively to body art.
